A New Deal For Beginner Surfers

A new deal for Beginner Surfers is opening up Morocco to those who want to learn in warmer conditions. Our Learn to Surf Package now starts at just £399* per week.

Morocco has always conjured up the exotic and adventurous, but in recent years this fascinating country has become much more accessible. Budget airlines have made it easy to get to Agadir and Marrakech from pretty much anywhere in the world and the country is now an all-year round destination attracting a broad spectrum of travellers. This is having a knock on effect in terms of surfing, too.

Leaner Surfers on Moroccan Beaches

Since the sixties, Morocco has mainly been seen as an experienced surfer’s destination. For decades the hardcore surfers of the globe have rocked up on our shores to surf epic winter swells at legendary spots like Anchor Point and Killers. But all that is changing now.

It has been great to see this part of coastal Morocco welcoming a broader range of people. The shores, so long the preserve of surfing’s alpha males, are now blessed with travellers of all ages; young and old, male and female, groups of students and families . As well as the change in demographics, there has also been a marked extension of the tourist year beyond the traditional winter surf season. We are seeing increasing numbers of visitors looking to stay from April through September and this is a great time of year for those looking to experience the unique buzz that is riding their first waves.

In Spring and Summer, as the temperature rises so the waves tend to mellow. Summer temperatures are something of a revelation for many. Coastal Agadir is not the pressure cooker you might expect to find in a Moroccan Summer. Many new visitors are often surprised to find that the climate of the region is extremely agreeable, especially compared to the extreme heat experienced in parts of the Moroccan interior. Most days are warm rather than hot with average daytime temperatures around 22 to 27 degrees and mild but refreshing sea temperatures of 19 to 22 degrees Celsius. You can take to the water happily in a light spring wetsuit and even break out the board shorts and bikinis on warmer, windless days. Check out the average temperatures here »

And if friendly waves and warm weather were not already enough to have you reaching for the passports, we have just reduced our Summer prices by £100*. This means our Learn to Surf Package is now just £399* per week. For that you still get the same great package of 6 days of surf lessons with all equipment included, comfortable clean accommodation in our friendly surf camp, six days of hearty surfers’ breakfasts, packed lunches and and fantastic evening meals cooked fresh by our resident chef plus all your airport transfers. On top of this you can book with Moroccan Surf Adventures in the knowledge that you will be staying in the best speciality lodging in the entire region (That is Trip Advisor’s rating, by the way... as well as ours!) and a Certificate of Excellence winner.
